Interface
Embedding seating map on event page
Website visitors can easily access an interactive seating chart once they visit a single event page which is embedded directly below the event details or ticketing section. The seat map is fully responsive and looks good on all devices. The seats in the seat map are color-coded according to status including available, booked, reserved, VIP etc.
Selecting seats from the frontend
Website visitors can simply place their cursor on their preferred seat to view its details including, row number, price, zone, availability etc. They can select their preferred seats by clicking on them and the seat gets updated in their cart summary in real time. Closer and better views of the seats can be achieved by zooming, panning and choosing the full-screen options. Tooltips and labels guide users during the selection process.
Simplified checkout process
The WP Seats addon offers a smooth checkout process to users. After choosing their desired seats, users can proceed to the checkout page through WooCommerce. Their chosen seats are usually locked to avoid double bookings for the same seats. Once the payment for their seats are made, they receive a confirmation email for the same that contains the seat numbers.
Display seat details in tickets
Through our WooCommerce ticketing feature, you can display each of your attendee's chosen seat numbers on their tickets. You can access the tickets by simply going to the WooCommerce option at the backend, and selecting the order option from the menu will show the tickets that are purchased. Clicking on any of the tickets will help you access your attendee’s purchased seat number, along with other ticket details.
Enabling seats for events
To use the addon, you need to enable seats from the backend of the core plugin. You need to go to the settings section of the backend and choose the booth chart option. There you need to paste the API key for the Seats Public Workspace and press save changes. This will help you create seats with the WP Seats addon.
Creating a new seating chart
It is possible for admins to create their preferred seat chart as per their requirement. To create a new seat chart the admin first need to go to the Event Manager option at the backend and select the WP Event Seat Chart option. Here you (admin) will find all the default seating charts and the “Add new chart” option to create a new one. Once you click on it you will be taken to a page containing the options: simple, section & floors, zones. You can choose the one you like by simply clicking on the option. Then you can create yours based on your plan. The design will be then added to the WP Events Seat Charts menu.
Seating chart management from the backend
The admin or event organizers can easily manage their event seats as per their requirements. They can customize their seating maps based on zones, availability, booths, and stage areas. They also enjoy the freedom of pricing seats, setting rules to define visibility and availability, add tags to seats and more. Admins also determine whether to enable or disable the seating map for each event. API configuration is also done based on the demand for syncing third-party tools.
Selecting a proper layout for seating visual
Admins can select their preferred layout from the backend through the WooCommerce seating chart option. Here as an admin, you will get multiple seating layouts from which you need to select your desired ones for your event.
Adding seating chart to each event
Once you select the design or create a new seating chart for a specific event, you need to add it to the event. To do that you need to first go to the Event Manager option and select All Events from the dropdown. Here you will get the list of all your added events. Select the specific event where you need to add the new seating chart and press the Edit option. Here you will find the Seating chart option which you need to click on. Now you need to select your preferred seating chart from the seating chart dropdown menu and your preferred seating chart will be added to that specific event.
