How to enable event categories & type settings for the event listing and event submission form?

WP Event Manager allows users to create a new field in the event submission form. Using this option, organizers can classify an event into a specific event category.

Using WP Event Manager you can enable categories & types for the event listings and submission form.

Follow the below mentioned steps to achieve that:

1. Go to Event Manager >> Settings >> Event Submission tab.
2. Tick the box next to Categories and Event Types.
3. Click Save Changes.



Once you enable these options, you can easily see Event Categories and Event Types into the left side of the WordPress toolbar.

How to disable event categories & types from event listing and event submission form?

Using WP Event Manager, you can also disable event categories and types for listings:

1. Go to Event Manager >> Settings >> Event Submission tab.
2. Untick the box next to Categories and Event Types.
3. Click Save Changes.

A new setting option is added to determine who can submit events based on user role in the event submission tab

A new feature is added to the Settings section of the admin panel that allows the admin to determine or select the people who can submit events in the event submission tab based on their role. To enable this feature, here are the steps that you need to take:

1. Go to Event Manager >> Settings >> Event Submission tab.
2. Here you will find the “Who can submit events” option. It is a Multi select dropdown menu that contains all user roles which are in your wordpress site and from this list, you need to choose the ones that you may prefer.
3. Once you select the role for people who can submit events on your website, no other user with a different role will be able to  “Post an event”on the front end side of your website.

This is how you can restrict who can submit events on your website from the frontend.

How to enable multi-select event categories & types for event listing page?

By enabling this option, a single event can be grouped under multiple categories and can be tagged with multiple tags:

1. Go to Event Manager >> Settings >> Event listing tab.
2. Tick the box next to Multi-select Event Categories and Types For listing.
3. Click Save Changes.
